Magic Kundalini Meditation Minutes
Whilst in class you’re never told how long you will be meditating for (to support diving into the practice rather than living in a mental countdown), if you have ever read through a set of meditations you’ve probably noticed that certain durations come up time and again. This is not mere coincidence. Just as specific angles and triangles directly open up energetic paths, there is also a science behind meditating for certain specific times:
3 minutes On average, blood completes one full circulation around the body in 45 seconds - one minute. Three minutes of practice increases the blood’s circulation, and by that circulation the benefits of the specific meditation flow through and are lightly imprinted on your entire being.
7 minutes Increases the strength of your magnetic field (aura). Brain activity also starts moving out of busy beta waves into calmer and quieter alpha and then potentially dreamy delta wave patterns.
11 minutes Both the nervous and glandular system start to change, simultaneously relaxing and releasing whilst adapting to support your increased energy.
22 minutes Subconscious anxiety starts to dissipate. The three minds (positive, negative and neutral) start to integrate together in better balance and harmony.
31 minutes The benefits of the specific meditation have penetrated and coded into all the body’s cells and natural rhythms, including all layers of the mind. A deep balance of the three gunas and 31 tattvas is achieved.
62 minutes The brain’s grey matter re-aligns. The subconscious “shadow” mind moves into our consciousness, integrating into our self-understanding and awareness.
150 minutes (2.5 hours) The changes in the subconscious are anchored. The benefits of the meditation vibrate strongly through the body, psyche and aura. Wahe Guru!
